Hi.  My name is Dan Schmidt.

I am the lead gameplay programmer at Harmonix Music Systems, which involves dealing with most of the gameplay parts (as opposed to the other 80% of the product) of the game Rock Band.  (Before Rock Band, I did the same thing on Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero 2.)

I am the main singer and songwriter for the band Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives, which if you recognize the name you probably do from seeing our songs in the above games.

I read a lot of books and listen to a lot of music.
