		<description>I had exactly the same reaction as you:  I started Shriek and couldn&#039;t get into it because it wasn&#039;t much like City of Saints and Madmen, but when I tried again a few years later I enjoyed it just fine.  I don&#039;t know if you&#039;ve dipped into Finch yet.  It&#039;s a complete stylistic departure again, with no metafictional tricks at all, but I liked it a lot.</description>
